![]() Download a WebDriver testing framework of your choice. Using the correct version of Microsoft Edge WebDriver for your build ensures it runs correctly. Open the Settings and more (.) menu, choose Help and feedback, and then choose About Microsoft Edge. The fact that it can be found so easily now might hint at a launch sometime soon, though. To find your correct build number: Launch Microsoft Edge. It's also the same exact version number that's currently available in the Beta channel, so it won't behave any different for now. However, upon running it for the first time, you'll see a page welcoming you to the Beta channel, so it's apparent the browser isn't quite ready for a general release yet. Installing the browser does indeed install the Chromium-based version of Edge without any beta labels. ![]() ![]() As first spotted by Techdows, searching for "Microsoft Edge stable", will return a direct download link as the first result - something we've been able to confirm. That could be set to change soon, however, as the browser can now easily be downloaded via a simple Google search. While a beta version has been officially available for over two months, there's still been no indication of a stable release, at least not in any official form. Microsoft has been testing a Chromium-based version of its Edge browser for quite some time, with the new browser being given its own Insider program. ![]()
